Septic country in Wilkinson Township
Wilkinson Township was platted before the modern highway maps redrew central Indiana. It still looks much like it did 50 years ago. Row crops on most section lines. A small village center. Rural-residential addresses spaced along the county roads connecting Wilkinson east to Charlottesville and west to the larger Hancock County towns. There's essentially no municipal sewer in the township. Most systems pre-date modern design standards.
Mt. Vernon Community Schools anchors the district. The same corporation serves McCordsville at the opposite end of the county. Families here often share a school calendar with our McCordsville customers half an hour west. That shared footprint is why we know the area — we've been running it for years on the way back from the populated end of the county.
Services and permits
Pumping every 3 to 5 years. Plus riser and lid replacement, baffle and pump repairs, drain field assessments, camera scoping, real estate inspections, and full replacements. Full menu on the services page; routine prices on the pricing page. All Wilkinson Township permits route through Hancock County at 111 American Legion Place in Greenfield, (317) 477-1127. We coordinate the soil-scientist visit and walk the paperwork through ourselves.
Knowing when to call
Slow drains, gurgling toilets, soggy patches over the field, and the lowest fixture backing up first are the standard signs. The full diagnostic walkthrough is on our Hancock County septic guide. For sister towns we work the same way, see McCordsville and Greenfield.
